有关中国民主运动几点思考-----一个外国人的看法

Chinese intellectuals look always down on their own people and so do democrats overseas.
Chinese democrats always think they are nobler than common people and are never willing to come into their community to spread democratic thought and faith.
Chinese democrats seem not to understand that in China, this is a fight for faith but not only for rights. A thing to let people be unable to know is why overseas Chinese democrats, most of whom are intellectuals, always love showing up their knowledge in Chinese's own circle, but not willing to affect the US government's mind by writing in English for US media. Saudi Arabia has its Jamal Khashoggi, while whom does China have for its own dissent voice in the US media?
Don't think innocently that Americans will be waging a war against the CCP. For their own, Americans would launch a trade war, even a full one, on China, but they are least likely to do so for backing Chinese democracy, unless China has a force being equal in strength to the CCP and/or first attacks the US.
Does China have this now? This is politics, but not only a civil movement. Even as a civil movement, Chinese democrats or dissenters' activities are also very unsuccessful: they can't even awake up common Chinese's democratic awareness.
At the same time, another ignored class is the middle class or the merchant class, which was the key factor of the past west democratic revolution's success but that is a vassal to the CCP in present China.
Chinese democrats must rethink of their action, strategy, and thought(if they have thought).
